About this event
A multi-faceted benefit event for the Looking After The Homeless (LATH Group) charity to showcase some of the songs from the Snow Business Christmas album project, and the official launch of Deborah Edgeley's new poetry book, 'I Slip into French Like Tolstoy'.

The day started with selected poetry readings from Deborah's book, followed by the announcement of the Crewe Library poetry competition winner, which was performed by Fall in Green. After a break for festive sweetmeats, local poets read poems with a Christmas theme, then some of the Electric Sprout Foundation artists performed their song from the album plus one other.

Maggie Shaw, John Lindley and John Miller (with and injured David Fray to hand!), Mark Sheeky, then Fall in Green, were followed by a finalé with Mike Drew A.K.A. Mick Dick, and a group performance of Mike Heron's 'Feast of Stephen'.

Deborah donated all proceeds from her book sales to the charity, and the library donated their takings too, bringing the total raised to over £100.
