About this event
An all-new performance, and Fall in Green's first international collaboration, with Italian author Stefano Santachiara. Empathy With Daisies explores the life of pioneering intellectual Lou Andreas-Salomé; the first female psychoanalyst and friend of Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Paul Rée, and Rainer Maria Rilke.
Stefano Santachiara visited the U.K. for the first time to attend this premiere which included projections, new props, and 12 pieces of piano music to accompany 11 poems. Poet Jane Harland assisted with live knitting for the Freud's Lecture piece. After Empathy With Daisies, 'Solo Salomé', a poetry and music Open Mic took place and included contributions from local poets, artists, and musicians, with pieces by Mike Drew, Cherie and David Tuffin, Jane Harland, Local Steve, Bryan Hurst, and John Lindley. This was followed by a short speech, and a question and answer session by Stefano Santachiara. |
