About this event
An experiment in setting up a local art performance night with music, poetry, and video at Wistaston Memorial Hall, something Mark Sheeky had wanted to try for some time. The theme of the evening was Life and was a joint birthday celebration too.

Mark Sheeky played the opening section minutes of his Spiral Staircase album, only the third time any of this had been performed live, and the first time Mark had included electric guitar in the piece. Claire Bassi read a poem about viruses and bacteria, throwing knitted viruses at the audience.

Poets Jane Harland and John Lindley performed several works, as did Macclesfield poet and musician Simon Ross, and Matt Hassall. Artist Nicholas Ferenczy read a poem to a projected video, and Sylvia Edgeley played guitar and sang two folk songs.

Poets Ian Parr and Carol Forrester read several of their works, and local band Rivers, Kidd & The Crow performed four songs. Deborah Edgeley and Mark Sheeky performed seven poems with music as Fall in Green, and the night concluded with a group song.
