About this album
The End And The Beginning is Mark Sheeky's first album of pop songs, featuring vocals by the wonderful singer Tor James Faulkner. The project was ambitious and took several years to craft, with backing tracks and recordings made by Tor in several locations, before Mark assembled them in Cheshire.
The End And The Beginning is a concept album with music in an eighties new-romantic style, about a man who enter a comatose state in the nineteen-eighties, awakening years later to a confusing future of strangers and robots. The influences on these songs are many and varied, but there are definite shades of the Electric Light Orchestra, Ultravox, with some Pink Floyd, and even Kate Bush. Mark provided the vocals on the tracks 'A.I.' and 'Coma'. |
